Refund Policy
The following refund policy is established in accordance with Manitoba's Private Vocational Institutions Act and applies to all students enrolled at the Acupuncture College of Manitoba.
Definitions
- Materials — Textbooks, tools, instruments, uniforms, kits, or technology supplied to a student by the institution.
- Tuition Fee — The total amount charged to a student for the cost of instruction in a vocational program.
- Registration Fee — A non-refundable fee charged at the time of registration, not exceeding 10% of the total tuition fee or $500, whichever is less.
- Vocational Program — A program of study that leads to a certificate or diploma.
7-Day Cancellation Right
A student may cancel their enrollment within 7 days after signing a student enrollment contract, regardless of whether the program has started. The student is entitled to a full refund of all fees paid, including the registration fee.
Pre-Program Withdrawal
If a student withdraws before the program start date (after the 7-day cancellation period), the student is entitled to a full refund of tuition fees paid, minus the non-refundable registration fee.
Refund After Program Starts
If a student withdraws or is dismissed after the program has started, the following refund schedule applies based on the percentage of the program completed at the time of withdrawal:

| 21% to 50.99% | 50% of tuition refund |
| More than 51% | No refund |
14-Day Failure to Attend
If a student does not attend the program within the first 14 days from the program start date without providing notice, the institution may dismiss the student and the refund policy above applies based on the program completion percentage.
Materials Refund
Materials that are returned in their original condition within 10 days of purchase are eligible for a full refund. Materials that have been used, opened, or are not in their original condition are not eligible for a refund.
Refund Processing
All refunds will be processed within 30 days of the institution receiving a written request for withdrawal or the institution's decision to dismiss a student.
Institution Registration Cancellation
If the institution's registration is suspended or cancelled, all students enrolled at that time are entitled to a full refund of any unearned tuition fees.
